1 Month In
Looks like the stuff is working. While I have less hair now than at any point in my life, I am happy to report that the devastatingly rapid hair loss and tingling has basically stopped or has tapered to normal. As I mentioned at the start of this experiment, my hair was falling out at a dramatic rate. I was literally losing a hundred hairs a day. No new growth yet, but I am relived that at least I can slow down or completely stop the hair loss with this stuff. The next step is to get a hair cut and face the reality of what I am working with. One benefit of having curly hair, is that it helps mask the bald areas on the top of my head..LOL I think though for the sake of the experiment, I should cut it shorter. I am also considering adding some supplements to my experiment, possibly some rogaine a few times a week to encourage growth. What do you guys think?

Don’t add anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do you’ll never know if it’s the avodart doing the job or the rogaine, etc. Then it’ll be harder to make the decision to get off one or the other if you wanted to. Hang in there for avodart for at least a year before adding anything – who knows, you may grow all your hair back and not have to! if you are indeed doing the ‘avodart experiment’, know that you’ll taint the experiment by introducing another element.

You’re absolutely right. That would obviously defeat the purpose of the experiment. I’ll stick this out for at least a year taking nothing but Avodart 0.5 mg daily. Thanks for the feedback!
